Community is a big part and woven directly into the fabric of Pondicherry. It shows up in our everyday work and takes multiple forms and dimensions.
Founded in 1996, Alexandria House in Koreatown is a transitional residence and house of hospitality. They provide safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing, providing educational and enrichment opportunities for neighbors and residents.
Some of our restaurant and catering customers need batch brew and individual serve tea bags. We partnered with Alexandria House to custom make each tea bag to specifications.
HoFoCo assists the food insecure in Los Angeles through nightly dinners and acts as concierge supplier of high quality food to a network of nonprofits through its exchange program. Pondicherry helps HoFoCo in its sustainability efforts.
The Center in Hollywood is a nonprofit ending isolation and breaking the cycle of homelessness through radical hospitality in Hollywood and throughout LA County. Pondicherry helps The Center in its sustainability initiatives.
